


Feldenkrais Method
In an ‘Awareness Through Movement’ lesson you’ll do gentle, pleasurable, particular movements that increase the ease of your functional movement - walking efficiently, safely lifting objects, and improving posture in sitting or standing. This method harnesses our neuroplasticity to improve how we move through the world.
Some lessons are challenging, others relaxing. Everyone is welcome: those with injuries or other limitations will learn the remarkable powers of moving in ways that are small, slow and gentle, and of imagined movement.
Kirsteen, a longtime yoga teacher, completed an intensive
two-year training program (450 hours) in Vermont, and was certified to teach 'Awareness Through Movement' in 2023. The training was led by Elizabeth Beringer, director of the Feldenkrais Institute of San Diego, who studied directly with founder Dr. Moshe Feldenkrais, and who teaches internationally.
